Miracle Ranch Foundation Grand Opening November 10, 2007
Vicki Adams, Director of Miracle Ranch Foundation
Vicki Adams, Director of Miracle Ranch Foundation, welcomes the guests
and presents a short orientation about the ranch and our mission to rescue horses from out of country slaughterhouses and
abuse. Vicki referenced a front page article that appeared in the September 30, 2007, San Antonio Express-News entitled,
"Horse Slaughter On The Border". There is a Chinese Proverb "One picture is worth more than
a thousand words." that fit this article perfectly. She explained that the article was very graphic
about how the horses are treated from the time they go to the sell place till their death either in transportation due to
overcrowding the trucks to the nightmare the horses endure in the slaughter pens. Many of the guests were horrified and shocked.
Miracle Ranch Foundation is just what the names implies...a "Miracle"for horses awaiting
an inhumane way to end their lives. Horses have been an important part of our heritage and a trusting, caring friend and
companion.
We at Miracle Ranch Foundation intend to do our share of rescuing, rehabilitating and training
horses to help get them adopted by caring people.
