A: The Advisory Board is a network of experts who have agreed to give the Foundation meaningful help on a regular basis in many different areas, including law, organizational development, technology, policy, and outreach. Their abilities, experience, and knowledge were selected for how they complement a particular Foundation project, or the organization as a whole.

The Board advises the Board of Trustees in its strategic decision-making process. Sometimes questions will be posed to the whole group, sometimes individual members will be consulted. They share an active dialog with a Board of Trustees. They are chosen not as a "list of names", but as a group of people we intend to interact with regularly.
